Remote Support Sessions
Once you have called and setup a time for us to connect to your computer remotely, you are ready to download the application that allows us to connect. The application is secure, using 128 bit encryption. Until you have started the Remote Session and opted to let us in, we will be unable to connect to your computer.
At anytime you may stop the remote session.
Remote Support Guide
1) Download our small remote application (641kb) by clicking on the appropriate image above. Example: Click on Pete if Peter Grenier is going to be taking care of you remotely
2) Save the file to your Desktop or wherever is convenient for you.
3) Run the BeyondRemoteRCHost.exe, by opening it up. You may be asked again by Windows firewall if you are sure you wish to run it; if so click “yes.”
- You will now have a application running called “Beyond Remote Support.” It will ask you if you want to begin your Remote Support Session.
4) If we are ready on our side, and you are ready, click “Yes.” If there is no window, something happened at step 3 incorrectly or it is hiding at the bottom of your screen.
- There should now be a window saying “Your computer is now being remote controlled.” Now we are ready get underway. When the remote session is done, you or we can stop it by clicking “Stop remote support session now.” You may delete the file you downloaded, or save it for future Remote Support from ComputerTech.
